I love this time of year; when the garden blooms. I particularly love how my ‘edible’ garden grows though and I thought I’d share a few ’snaps’ with you
Courgettes

Peas

Various Herbs

Many more herbs and vegetables are on the grow so expect to hear much more about my home grown produce in the very near future!

How beautiful, I am happy to see your garden flourish, soon you will harvest your hard work. Please blog about your harvest too okay?!
Mine is doing so bad, I have gopher problem and too scared of trapping them. So, my vegetable garden is not doing so well. Everything I plant is always get eaten by this creatures (sigh).

Your courgette blossoms are gorgeous. We have them too, but I don’t know how best to use them. Suggestions?

Elra I will of course take more photos and let you know what I do with my ‘harvest’
I’m sorry to hear you’re having gopher problems though.
Honeycrisp thank you
Personally I think the best way of cooking courgette flowers is to pop an anchovy fillet and a small piece of mozzarella inside them, coat with a light (tempura style) batter and deep fry until crisp. The ultimate in Italian fast food.

Laura I’m sorry to hear your courgettes didn’t do very well, at least you enjoyed what you did manage to harvest.
Sweet Pea thanks for stopping by, you really should eat the flowers; they’re the best bit of the courgette in my opinion.
Jilly thank you
